Santa Monica Interim Campus

We anticipate that we will remain at the Colorado Center in Santa Monica through at least the 2026-2027 school year. Our lease agreement will allow us to extend if necessary. The Colorado Center will be the only interim campus. There are no plans to maintain a presence in Santa Monica once the school relocates back to the Palisades. 

Village occupies the entire 65,000 square foot second floor. The campus is spacious and bathed in natural light. There is ample room for large individual grade level and specialist classrooms and labs, including a library, all-school meeting space, performing and visual arts spaces, DREAM Studio, and science lab. There are two outdoor terraces for lunch.

Yes. Village has full use of the Colorado Center Park, which is 3.5 acres of green space for student play and PEW. The facilities include two playing fields, a play structure, basketball court, and tennis courts. All team practices and most home games are held on campus at the Colorado Center Park.

No. No changes have been or will be made to any academic, social emotional, or extra-curricular program, nor have there been any changes to staffing.

Yes. Our Head of Emergency Preparedness leads a team of four, ensuring that there is always a strong security presence both inside campus and at the outdoor facilities. 

Yes. Fresh Lunches continues to provide optional hot lunch. Students eat on one of two outdoor terraces. 

Yes. A full complement of enrichment classes for all grades is offered each trimester and aftercare is available until 5:00 p.m. daily.

Students may be dropped off and picked up via car, the Village bus program, or on foot or bicycle. 

Yes! Parents are often on campus to participate in volunteer activities, classroom presentations, or school events such as Monday Morning Meeting.
