The Admissions Process & Events

Applications for 2025-2026
will be available September 1st.

If you are relocating to Los Angeles and interested in inquiring about late applications for 2024-2025,
please call the Admissions Office at 310-459-8411.

Thank you for your interest in Village School!  We know this is an important and exciting time as you reflect on the next steps of your child’s educational journey, and we also understand the anxiety that can often accompany it. Our goal is to make this process comfortable, transparent, and as stress-free as possible. Our approach is intentionally child and family centered. We see ourselves as partners with you in pursuit of the same goal: to find a school community in which your child and your family will thrive.

Please reach out to us at any time. We are here to help!

The admissions process will start in earnest in the fall, but we will be hosting a Spring Campus Tour in May. Please fill out the online inquiry form so you can receive information once the date has been set. Additional events will be offered throughout the fall- both on campus and virtual-  for you to learn more about Village. In the meantime, we invite you to explore our website and follow us on Instagram (@VillageSchool90272).

Our process is outlined below:

1. FILL OUT OUR ONLINE INQUIRY FORM

Please CLICK HERE to access our online inquiry form and be added to our mailing list.

2. GET TO KNOW VILLAGE- Admissions Events

Our events will start with a spring tour in May. During the fall, we will offer a variety of opportunities to visit campus, learn more about our school, and meet with members of our community.  (Tours led by Village School Parent Ambassadors are offered once an application has been submitted.)

3. APPLY (applications will be due in early December)

Our online application portal will open in September. This is where you can keep track of requirements and deadlines, and submit all necessary forms.

Applications will be due in early December. (Siblings of current Village students have an earlier deadline of late October.)  There is no advantage to submitting an application quickly- so please don’t feel any pressure!  We want you to have a good sense of Village and the ways it might be a good fit for your family before completing the application.

Transitional Kindergarten & Kindergarten Application Requirements

Typically, Transitional Kindergarteners will turn five between July 1 and December 31 of the year they will enroll, and Kindergartners will turn five between July 1 of the previous year and June 30 of the year they will enroll. However, we recognize that every child is unique, and these birthdate ranges are not the only determination of correct placement. Please reach out to us if you are unsure.
  • Online Application Form
The online application includes several short questions that will allow you to introduce your child and share your thoughts on his/her education.

  • Parent Conversation
After your online application is submitted, we will invite you to schedule a conversation with a member of the admissions team. These can take place on campus or virtually, and take approximately 45 minutes.

  • Mini Morning at Village
After your online application is submitted, you will schedule a Mini Morning at Village for your child. These 90 minute Saturday morning visits in January and February are a scaled down version of a real morning at Village- complete with community circle, stations with Village teachers, and all-important play time on the TK/Kindergarten yard! We intentionally do not call these mornings "assessments" and have no expectations that all children will have met specific academic benchmarks; no outside preparation or support is necessary.
