Since 1977, Village School has provided a challenging academic and social-emotional program to its families. Village School enrolls 290 students from our transitional kindergarten (TK) program through sixth grade.

Each morning students eagerly to await the opening of the front gates of our Swarthmore campus. Our students are excited to learn, grow, and become the best versions of themselves.

Jameson Brau (’13) currently attends UCSB and has been working at Northrup Grumman on NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope. In addition, while in school at UCSB he works part time for the Santa Barbara based start up company Umbra which designs, builds, and operates satellites for high resolution Earth observation, communication, and signal monitoring.
Lucas Gelfond (’13) is a student at Brown University, studying computer science and writing. Lucas is creating quite the name for himself with published articles in Logic Magazine and Vice.
On December 2, 2021, Danny Kramer caught up with the uber-talented and charismatic Claire Nordstrom ’09. Claire was performing at the Draycott and took the time to fill us in what she is up to now, and her future plans.
Johnny Hooper ’09 is a four-time All-American and played water polo at Harvard-Westlake and Cal. He went on to play on the USA’s Men’s Water Polo Team in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
Jeff Gilder graduated from Village in 2002. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from UCSB with a concentration in Psychology and a minor in Education. He received his Masters of Education and teaching credential from UCSB’s Gevirtz Graduate School of Education. He is currently the Director of Alumni Relations at Windward School.
