We know that an independent school education is a major investment and can be a challenge for families. We are committed to providing ways to make a Village School education accessible to as many families as possible through payment plan options and a Tuition Assistance program. Payment plans allow families to spread tuition payments out over the course of ten months. The Tuition Assistance program helps families to bridge the gap between the cost of tuition and what they can afford.
Village School uses FAST (Financial Aid for School Tuition) to help evaluate the need for Tuition Assistance. FAST requires that each family submit its most recent federal tax return with all schedules and W-2 forms. The final determination of aid is made by Village School’s Tuition Assistance Committee. Tuition Assistance decisions are made independent of admissions decisions and are based on the family’s level of demonstrated need.
Tuition Assistance covers tuition as well as new student fees, extended after-school care and the hot lunch program. Applications for Tuition Assistance must be resubmitted on an annual basis in order to determine continued eligibility. If a family’s income and net assets remain constant, they might expect the same level of award from year to year.
The deadline to apply for tuition assistance for the 2023-2024 school year is February 10, 2023.
