When will we be notified of admissions decisions?
In coordination with other Los Angeles independent schools, decisions will be emailed March 11, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. Parents are asked to share their enrollment decisions with schools by March 18, 2022.
 
How old does my child need to be to apply?
Applicants to Transitional Kindergarten should turn four years old between July 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021. Applicants to Kindergarten should turn five years old between July 1, 2021 and June 20, 2022.  There are no age requirements for applicants to grades one-six.
 
How old is Village School?
We will celebrate our 45th anniversary in 2022.
 
How many students do you have?
Village School has 290 students in grades TK-6.
 
What is the average class size?
TK and Kindergarten classes average 14 students.  Grades one-six average 20 students.
 
What is the student/teacher ratio?
1:6.5
 
What are school hours?
School runs from 8:00-3:00 for all grades TK-6.
 
What about after school?
Village has both an after-care program until 5:00 and various optional after school enrichment activities including athletics, teams, arts and academics.  Both these programs are available for additional fees. For more information, please click here.
 
Do you have a bus?
Yes! Village provides complimentary bus service, which is utilized by approximately half of our students. We have eight bus routes servicing multiple West Los Angeles neighborhoods including Santa Monica, Westwood, Brentwood and Pacific Palisades and neighboring cities including Westchester, Inglewood and the South Bay.
